Bringing Free Live Music To The Heart Of Rye
As always, the Rye Jazz & Blues Festival remains committed to delivering as much free live music as possible.
We’re thrilled to confirm that vibrant, high-quality live performances will take place outside the Butter Market, beneath the Rye Town Hall , across the August Bank Holiday weekend between Saturday 23rd to Monday 25th August .
Expect the coolest jazz, blues, and roots music filling the streets of Rye with rhythm, colour, and soul.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, a road closure will be in effect each day during performances. This creates a welcoming, traffic-free space where you can relax, connect with others, and soak in the atmosphere. Fold-up chairs will be available, along with plenty of standing room .
We kindly ask all attendees to be considerate of local businesses by not blocking shop entrances or doorways during performances.
A full schedule of artists and timings will be announced soon - stay tuned!

Thank You for Supporting Free Music
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed to our crowdfunder , helping make these performances possible. Special thanks go to our generous private patrons: Terry Weston, Charlie Parsons, Barry Nealon, Bruce Hayter, Roger Sexton , and others who wish to remain anonymous.
We also extend sincere thanks to our festival business partners for their invaluable support: Bramley & Teal Holiday Cottages , Phillips & Stubbs Estate Agents , Heringtons Solicitors , Sheppex Asset Finance , Rother District Council , Martello Developments , Wilson, Wilson & Hancock , Jempson’s Supermarkets , Layfields , The Mermaid Inn , On Stage ,and others.
Why Your Support Matters
Putting on free music events is more challenging than ever. Not only must we fairly compensate musicians — whose craft and talent are their livelihood — but we also cover a range of additional costs: venue hire from Rye Town Council, road closure licenses, insurance, fencing, signage, medical cover , and more.
If you have not yet donated, it is not too late! Every contribution makes a real difference.
Help Keep Live Music Free In The Heart Of Rye!
Let us keep the spirit of live music thriving in Rye. See you at the Butter Market!
