In 2012 we launched the inaugural festival with a modest programme of events which included a series of ticketed concerts presented in the Ballroom at The George Inn Rye, a headline concert at the Rye College Theatre and free music performances at the Butter Market.
We also presented three days of free live music on a dedicated outdoor stage located at the Ypres pub, Rye within their outdoor garden.
Our headline artistes included the legendary drummer ‘Ginger Baker’ and his band ‘Jazz Confusion’, the legendary Bass player ‘Herbie Flowers’, Antony Strong, Earl Okin and many others.
It was a humble beginning for our first year and from which point we grew organically year on year.
