Ten years after its launch the annual Rye International Jazz & Blues Festival goes from strength to strength.

Over each August Bank Holiday weekend (except for a break for Covid), Ian Bowden and his team at the Festival organise an amazing mix of international stars to perform at St Mary’s Church and a packed programme of free performers at open air venues around the town.

So music lovers can choose to buy tickets to see world-class performers like KT Tunstall, Russell Watson, Curtis Stigers, Beverley Knight and Emeli Sande in the intimate surroundings of the church, or simply come, in their thousands, to soak up the free live music from the dozens of musicians and bands that is also on offer each year.

The Rye International Jazz & Blues Festival has become a firm fixture in the calendar and has helped introduce our town to music lovers from not just the UK but around the world!
