Why not book to have dinner at Salts Restaurant during the festival?
Salts Restaurant, situated in the Rye Lodge Hotel, takes it name from the salt marshes that the hotel overlooks. The executive chef Attila Csicso has put together a modern seasonal menu inspired by different cuisines with a slight Mediterranean influence and a touch of molecular gastronomy served in an upscale and intimate setting. Click here to find out more about the restaurant or call 01797 223 838 to book your table.
On a classical, nylon string guitar, Paul Richards is a virtuoso; effortlessly interpreting and reinventing the “chôros”, sambas and waltzes of composers such as Pernambuco, Cardoso, Villa-Lobos and Baden Powell. His technique and muscular musical sensibility, combined with superb improvisational skills is making Paul one of the most talked about guitarists on the scene at the moment.
Alongside Paul, the trio features Steve Thompson (Scott Hamilton, Ken Peplowski, Joe Locke, Alan Barnes, Warren Vache) on double bass and Tony Shepherd on drums (Bobby Wellins, Jim Mullen, Oasis); well known and highly respected jazz musicians in their own right who bring a infectious groove and intensity to the music that has to be heard to be believed.
Stunning views, wonderful music, award winning wines and a selection of superb food platters, prepared by the Rye Lodge Hotel’s executive chef Attila Csicso, combine to create a relaxed and truly memorable experience.
The terrace will be elegantly styled with tables, chairs and parasols surrounding the outdoor bar, a perfect way to watch the world-class live jazz and Latin music taking place from 1pm to 3pm each day on the stage. Wine Tastings will also be held on Saturday and Sunday evenings from 6-7pm. All events are booking through the festival website.
