We very much hope to see you at the first of our Covid-safe concerts, the return of live music is such a positive experience for us all.

Join us at what will be a truly special live concert as we ‘reunite’ two consummate performers on ‘World International Jazz Day’ 2021.

We are delighted to be presenting a special intimate concert in the unique setting of St Mary In The Castle, Hastings with two of the most acclaimed, multi-award-winning British jazz singers and songwriters: Ian Shaw and Liane Carroll.

Ian and Liane perform to sell - out audiences at many of the established European jazz festivals and numerous jazz clubs in the UK including the world famous Ronnie Scott’s jazz club in London.

Two stunning voices, two magnificent singer-pianists, two great friends whose rapport makes every concert that they play incredibly special. They bring personality, musical class and incorrigible wit to a repertoire that covers the jazz songbook and contemporary songs as well as their own originals.

You can expect to hear a wide range of jazz and contemporary music from both Ian and Liane and of course many of their own brilliantly written and creatively crafted songs and compositions.

A special thanks goes to our event partners: Arthur C Towner Funeral Directors and Gaby Hardwicke Solicitors

Keeping you Covid-safe at concerts

As we welcome you back to live performances, our number one priority is the health and wellbeing of our visitors and staff. We’ve introduced measures to help everyone remain safe while they are attending. To keep everyone safe, we are reducing the capacity of the venue so that you can maintain a 2m distance from concert goers from other households.

Everyone attending an event must have bought an online ticket in advance and be able to present this on a mobile device or have a printed copy with them. There will be no tickets available to buy on the door. While these measures are in place, we are limiting the number of tickets to a maximum of 6 per ticket-buyer.

Audience members, concert staff and stewards will need to wear a face-covering inside the venue and during the performance, unless exempt from doing so by Government guidelines. Please bring your own mask or face-covering with you to the performance. View a summary of Covid-safe measures here.
