Thank you to all those that attended our stunning Spring series of concerts at St Mary’s Church, Rye over the last May Bank Holiday weekend. We would like to extend our appreciation and gratitude to all of the superb artists that performed, Nigel Kennedy, Stacey Kent, Liane Carroll, Antonio Forcione, Sarah-Jane Morris, our sponsors, advertisers, media partners, the ever helpful and lovely team at St Mary’s Church and the festival personnel who worked so incredibly hard over the three days and nights.
We were delighted to once again support ‘Charity For Kids’ Thank you to all those that made donations at the concerts to this wonderful charity - over £1300 was raised over the three concerts which will support the wonderful work they do.
The truly amazing Nigel Kennedy performed with his very talented musicians on Thursday night. Nigel was in fantastic form and treated the delighted audience to Bach, his own compositions from his new album My World as well as some Hendrix. We would like to thank Future climate Info for sponsoring this memorable event.
Friday night saw a different pace when the Grammy nominated American jazz singer Stacey Kent performed a beautiful set in the stunning setting of St Mary’s Church. Thank you to Specifa for sponsoring this performance.
A triple bill of wonderful musicians delighted the crowd on Saturday night. Liane Carroll opened the evening and played songs from her latest album The Right To Love which is due for release in July 2017 and some old favourites. Then Sarah Jane Morris and Antonio Forcione took to the stage much to the appreciation of their loyal fans and new followers. Sarah Jane’s poetry goes from strength to strength and is powerfully set against Antonio’s wonderful guitar playing. We would like to thank our event sponsors for the concert StoneRock Dental Care and Fairlight Arts Trust.
A special thank you is extended to Tony Ham for all of the superb photographs.
