Spring is most certainly in the air, and at the end of May, so will be the sound of exceptional music in Rye. We haven’t been in hibernation, far from it, and we are delighted to announce a very special series of world class concerts for the spring May bank holiday. Make a date in your diary, and please join us for these three stunning, intimate and high quality concerts at the beautiful setting of St Mary’s Church, Rye East Sussex.
We proudly present the biggest selling violinist and maverick musical genius Nigel Kennedy performing for the very first time in Rye. Kennedy has sold millions of albums across the world, performed to sell out audiences at international concerts halls, and continues to embrace new and challenging musical visions.
Join us on Thursday 25th May when Nigel will performing ‘Bach Meets My World’, which will be an exhilarating concert with a programme packed with Nigel’s favourite, and most celebrated Bach compositions, combined with music from his acclaimed new album ‘My World’.
Expect the unexpected with additional repertoire including pieces from Stéphane Grappelli, and Jimi Hendrix.

On Friday 26th May, we present the highly acclaimed, and award winning American jazz singer Stacey Kent, who will be performing with her wonderful band.
Stacey is one of the most respected singers of her generation, and sell’s out concerts internationally. She is no stranger to the UK and spends her time in both in the US and UK.
We kindly thank Specifa for partnering this wonderful concert.
Saturday 27th May, we present a stunning double bill contemporary concert, with two of the most talented singers, Sarah Jane Morris, and Liane Carroll, both of which have strong connections to nearby Hastings.
Joining Sarah Jane, will be performing with the award winning Italian guitarist Antonio Forcione, and will be playing songs from their new album Compared To What, released in Autumn 2016.
Liane will be performing a solo performance on the evening with a stunning and eclectic programme, all of which is delivered in her own unique and captivating style.
These three superb concerts are a just taste of what is to come later at the summer festival at the end of August.
