After a sell-out performance at the Rye International Jazz Festival in 2015. We are delighted to be bringing one of the most respected and talented jazz singers of this generation to the Assembly Hall Theatre, Tunbridge Wells. We proudly present Clare Teal & Her Mini Big Band on Saturday 28th May 2016. This performance is Kindly sponsored by Berkeley Group, Royal Wells Park.
Clare Teal’s Mini Big Band concerts are becoming renowned across the country for their energetic exuberance and for offering audiences evenings of unbridled entertainment. Backed by a spectacular band of first rate musicians, award winning jazz singer and BBC Radio 2 presenter Clare provides an evening of toe tapping big band and swing songs which appeal to all and has the audience dancing in the aisles.
Clare and her Band play an ever evolving and rich mix of material both in homage to the big band greats of the Swing Era and looking forward with new arrangements of more contemporary classics and originals, always featuring star players of the British Jazz scene.
This fabulous evening’s entertainment celebrates the work of many of the leading ladies of jazz and big band all in one show. Including songs made famous by Ella Fitzgerald and Doris Day and many of their illustrious contemporaries and timeless classics from the American Songbook.
